Track My Missionary exists so a family can watch a mission go by. That only works if the family can trust the page, so the rules are short and strict.
What we store
- What you type into the create form: the missionary’s name, mission, dates, flag, and the city and time zone they serve in.
- The areas and companions the family adds from the poster’s edit page.
- Anything the family chooses to add on the settings page — the missionary’s email address, a mailing address, links to a blog or album. All optional, all removable there at any time.
- Roughly where a page was created — city, region and country, as our host resolves it. We never see or store the address of the device it came from, and this is never shown on the page; it exists so we can tell a real family from a machine.
Beyond that, an account is an email address and a password, held by Supabase, our database provider, with the password stored only as a hash — we never see it. Card details never touch this site. We run no advertising and sell nothing about you to anyone.
Letters and email follows
If a page’s owner switches on letters, mail sent to the page’s own address is received for us by Resend, our email provider, and stored as it arrived — the message, its attachments, and a list of who may send — so the family can keep it and, later, print it. Attachment originals are kept private; the copies shown on the page are resized and stripped of camera metadata such as location. Mail from anyone not on the owner’s list is held aside for the owner to see and deleted after thirty days. Nothing is shown to anyone until the owner approves it.
Someone who asks to be told when a letter arrives gives us one email address, which we keep only to send that notice, only after they confirm it, and only until they click the link in any of those emails to stop. The account that owns the page can see the addresses of everyone following it, by email or with an account; nobody else can. Unconfirmed requests are deleted after seven days. We record that the follow page was opened and how — from a printed code or a link — and nothing about who. [Final wording to follow.]
Who can see a poster
Each poster lives at its own unguessable link. It is listed nowhere on this site, appears in no sitemap, and every poster page instructs search engines not to index it. Whoever holds the link can view the page and download its posters — that is the model: share the link the way you would share a family photo. Editing belongs to the account that owns the page.
Removal
Any page is corrected or taken down on request from the family — write to support@trackmymissionary.com. Since the missionary named on a page may not be the one who created it, we honour removal requests from the missionary themselves as well.
Where it lives
Poster data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) and the site is served by our hosting provider (Vercel). Both hold the data only to run the service.
The iPhone app
The companion app is a window onto the same pages: it fetches a page’s content from this service by its unguessable code, signs into the same accounts, and keeps its small preferences — which pages you keep and how they are arranged — on your own device. The app carries no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, asks for no permissions (no contacts, location, camera or microphone), and takes no payments. Everything above about storage, visibility and removal applies to the app exactly as it does to the site; deleting your account (how) removes it from both.
Deleting an account in the app
In the iPhone app, sign in, open Settings, and choose Delete account. Confirm with your password. This permanently removes your account, your saved follows, and the missionary pages you own, including their photos and associated details. Shared links to those pages stop working. Pages owned by other people are not deleted. If deletion is interrupted, retry from the app or contact support for help.
When you use the app to sign in or edit a page, the service stores your account email and identifier, the names and contact details you submit, portraits you choose to upload, and page content such as mission dates, areas, companions, and milestones. These are used to provide the app’s features, not for advertising or tracking. Choosing a portrait shares only the image you select with the service.
Who runs it
Track My Missionary is operated by Pancue LLC. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages — card details never touch this site, and we keep no record of them.
